Beyond the upper eyelid concerns, she expressed dissatisfaction with the subtle hollowing and prominent tear troughs beneath her lower eyelids, desiring a more invigorated and youthful aesthetic.
During a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Dorafshar, a personalized treatment plan was meticulously crafted to address her specific concerns and achieve her desired outcome. The proposed solution involved a precise “skin-only” upper blepharoplasty, a refined surgical technique focusing on the removal of excess skin from the upper eyelids, thereby alleviating the sensation of heaviness and opening up her eyes. Complementing this, a lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty was planned. This advanced procedure, performed through a small incision on the inside of the lower eyelid, addresses the underlying fat pads contributing to hollowing and tear troughs without any visible external scarring.
The entire procedure was conducted with the utmost comfort and convenience in our office-based surgical suite, utilizing sedation anesthesia. This approach allowed for a calm and relaxed experience for the patient, minimizing discomfort and promoting a swift recovery.
