This young lady sought consultation expressing dissatisfaction with the aesthetic appearance of her nose. Her primary concerns were the presence of a noticeable dorsal nasal “hump” and a desire for a smaller, more refined, and slightly upward-sloping nasal tip. The surgical procedure was performed using an open rhinoplasty approach. This involved a small, meticulously placed incision in the columella—the narrow strip of skin between the nostrils—and internal incisions within the nostrils to allow for optimal visualization and access to the underlying nasal structures. Once the nasal framework was fully exposed, the dorsal hump was precisely reduced by several millimeters, achieving a smoother and more harmonious nasal profile. Subsequently, the nasal tip was meticulously refined through a combination of techniques, including the strategic addition of cartilage grafts and carefully placed sutures. These enhancements were designed to create the desired smaller, more defined, and subtly upturned tip, while ensuring structural integrity and long-term stability. The ultimate outcome was an aesthetically pleasing and naturally appearing nose that was not only congruent with her ethnic facial features but also provided her with an excellent and stable result that she was highly satisfied with.
